WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

If you are planning to utilize insurance, please refer to the information below to ensure you have coverage for Registered Dietitian visits. Even if I am in-network with your insurance carrier, it does not guarantee that your specific plan covers our visit. However, I believe everyone should have the means to work with a Nutritionist/Dietitian to ease their physical symptoms and get back control of their life.  See below for more information.

When calling your insurance carrier, we suggest calling your member number (typically located on the back of your insurance card) and asking specifically about:

  • Do you have coverage for a nutrition consult (billed as CPT 97802 [initial visit] or 97803 [follow up])?
  • What specific diagnoses are covered (ask for specific ICD-10 codes [weight loss, Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Gatrointenstinal disease, etc. all have different codes])
  • Do you need a physician referral for insurance to cover your visit?
  • Do you have a co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible to meet?

We appreciate you taking the time to determine your coverage. If you need further help determining your coverage, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

If you do not have coverage, no worries! Ask about our treatment packages which are available when insurance won’t cover the treatment plan. I don’t turn anyone away. Self pay options are available.

INSURANCE ACCEPTED

We provide a wide variety of insurance coverage, however your health is the most important to us. We never turn anyone away and have affordable payment options if you are not covered. Don’t let your lack of insurance prevent you from getting the treatment that you need!
